Driving EEG Cognitive Assessment using Eye Fixations

Abstract: Augmented Cognition systems capture user state via neuro/physiological indicators to drive system adaptations that optimize performance of humans-in-the-loop.

This paper describes a unique approach for capturing user state using a real-time single-trial assessment of event-locked changes in the cognitive state of a human in response to an event unknown to, or not detected by a system. This paper describes two applied solutions using this methodology to enhance intelligence analysis and summarizes advantages and challenges of time-locking cognitive assessment to a physiological response (in this case, eye tracking).
